APP STORES CANNOT PROVIDE EVER!
A cell phone is a human’s best friend today. One can live without food, but not without a cell phone. It’s commendable that something that was only meant to make calls while we are on the go has culminated into something that easily dominates our lives today. From messages to music, from music to the internet and from the internet to N number of apps, there is rarely a thing that a basic cell phone doesn’t provide these days. One can sit at home and have a 360 degree view of how Paris looks like from the Eiffel Tower. It has made things convenient and therefore easy. But, this is the most that the universe of applications can serve you. It cannot make you feel the breeze on your face when you are standing at a height; it doesn’t provide the warmth of a hug or playing ‘catch’ with your dog. Alarmed at how aggressively the virtual world is taking over the real world, three Swedish digital media students, Rafael Ochoa, Caio Andrade and Linn Livijn Wexell have created provoking stickers named “Not Available on App Store”. It’s also a dig at Big Daddy Apple’s “Available on App Store Badge.” Their only purpose is to remind the world that there is a life outside social networking sites, mobile phones and computers. That is the “real life” and there are no apps for it.
