Reuters reported that the Indian giant Zomato that rolled out restaurant listings and reviews in 20 countries has acquired MaplePOS. MaplePOS, which is now renamed as Zomato Base is all set to increase the features of this already popular app. Zomato will now offer online table reservation and online bill payment facilities to its users.
Moreover, it is also getting into food delivery services in India. It will also provide several services to the restaurants, which will make the user interface much more interactive and updated. Zomato launched in India in 2008 and since then it has only been on a rise. It is now used in 20 other countries and has risen to become the most trusted app by several users. Not only does it list restaurants, but also highlights special places, has a section that allows people to review a particular eating joint and share images. What clicked for Zomato is the genuineness.
