Tanu Weds Manu Returns
It’s here and it has exceeded our expectations. When we sat to watch the first part, we didn’t expect it to be what it turned out to be and now the sequel is proving to be the same. The story opens with Tanu and Manu filing for a divorce. Tanu’s family has already startes looking for another groom for her. Manu on the other hand, finds his love in another woman named Kusum who looks just like his “soon-to-be-ex-wife”. To add more colours to this already twisted turn of events is our very own under rated talent, Jimmy Shergil. It is also said that jimmy’s character is probably engaged to Kusum and this time again manu is in the frame! What happens next in these rigmarole of events is what we need to watch out for. Whether Manu realizes his undying love for his wife or not, whether Tanu still loves him or not and what eventually happens with Kusum, are questions that form the crux of the film.The trailer looks quirky, fresh and promises the same that magic part one provided (if not more!). Our Manu is still the straightforward, shy man we fell in love with, but it is Kangana who is the torch bearer of this entire brigade. She is definitely Bollywood’s darling these days and is definitely the woman with the Midas touch. The way she carries her Haryanvi look, her accent, her body language, her sportswoman attitude; it all screams SUPERHIT loud and bold from the word go. Where were you girl? We wish Bollywood had offered you such roles earliers rather than only give you depressive, schizophrenic characters to play. Anand L. Rai is surely going to strike gold with this one.
