IF BREAKING BAD WAS MADE IN INDIA
Okay, first up, we know we aren’t attempting something new. Several websites have done this before and that’s why we too have the urge to share our list for the same. Also, we have quite a longer list as compared to the other. We also know that there is no chance that a series like Breaking Bad ever finds its way in an Indian version. I mean beef just got banned out here so the thought of actually having a man in his 50s selling Meth in India is just, well..Ha ha! To say the least! Luckily, people are still allowed to dream without any rules out here. And we are dreamers of the first order. Therefore, we bring you our dream list of actors from the Indian Film Industry who must definitely be considered for starring in the Indian version of Breaking Bad.
P.S: You are most welcome to disagree, cuss, suggest and appreciate this list.
Walter White: Anupam Kher
Nobody is as versatile as this man. He can shift from being a confident guy and a nervous father with a second. If anyone has a doubt, we suggest you watch Special 26 again.
Skyler White: Tabu
Talent is her middle name. Playing an obsessive and a hysteric pregnant woman is her forte. Remember Maqbool?
Walter White Jr: Darsheel Safary
A teenager who loves his family the most and is fiercely attached to it has to be this boy. His unforgettable performance in Taare Zameen Par is proof enough.
Jesse Pinkman: Imran Khan
Young, careless, messed up and baby-faced, everything matches. Plus, his Delhi Belly experience will come in handy.
Hank Schrader: Rishi Kapoor
Give us one logical reason why not him. Plus, he looks quite similar to Dean Norris.
Marie Schrader: Kareena Kapoor
Beautiful, emotional, supportive and damaged, suits Kareena perfectly. She’s a powerhouse of talent and looks stunning in purple (Marie’s favourite colour). In case the chacha-bhatiji duo disagrees to star as a couple (chances are high, but we would expect them to take the higher road for the sake of creativity), our next recommendation is Sushmita Sen.
Saul Goodman: Kapil Sharma
Funny, showman, drama queen and resourceful, it just has to be Kapil.
Gustavo Fring: Irrfan Khan
With those simplistic, “I just care about my business” type of looks, one cannot think of anyone else except Irrfan Khan. To take things further his look in The Lunchbox was quite similar to Fring’s.
Mike Ehrmantraut: Nana Patekar
The “no nonsense” attitude suits Nana perfectly. He can create wonders playing Mike; Fring’s loyal bodyguard and confidante. It would be quite interesting to watch Irrfan’s and Nana’s chemistry on screen.
Ted Beneke: Arjun Rampal
He is handsome, charming enough for Tabu to say, “I f**ked Ted” and he doesn’t really have too many scenes which is perfect. We all can skip the bland acting and yet have full access to this good looking man.
Hector Salamanca: Amitabh Bachchan
It’s because nobody can speak with his eyes and expressions like Mr. Bachchan, period.
Stay tuned. List two for Indian Breaking Bad, coming soon.
