Event management is not an easy job! It requires time, planning and most importantly A LOT OF PATIENCE! It isn’t everyone’s cup of tea and that is why event managers are a unique species on this planet. Where else you will find people who are more serious about your wedding than you are?! On the day of the event you start sweating before you have reached the location and you just know why!
When the client asks you to make changes in the menu/catering a day before the event
When you fake things before the client that everything is under control, but it actually isn’t!
When a certain uncle gets too drunk at the wedding and begins embarrassing everyone
And you are expected to “take charge of the situation”! I mean how bro?!
That initial moment when the guests/audience start arriving
Until the day the event is done, weather reports scare you like there is no tomorrow!
People keep asking you for the slightest of things
You don’t remember the last time you slept for more than 3 hours or had a meal on time
And then there is a day when you just want to get out of that place and breathe, but on the inside you know you CANNOT
When the event ends; you are surprised you are alive! Like LITERALLY ALIVE!
All you want to do is crash on the bed and never wake up
And then feel proud of the event you managed from the other day
So many feels! All of that rigmarole for that feeling is worth it; right event managers?
