NIEM College Idol Finale 2015
First up, please excuse any spelling mistakes here; my ears are still buzzing from all the cheering and screaming at NIEM College Idol Finale in Ahmedabad today. What a show! Every year we attend the show and feel that they cannot get better than this next year; we feel the same this year too!
I stepped into Thakorbhai hall and I knew I am in for a treat. These were 3 hours of my life spent well. The performances were insanely awesome (thank God I wasn’t judging the show!). The décor eases you into the mood and then there are vibrant students from NIEM who are there to assist you in every possible way. A show of this magnitude and stature requires judges at that level. The brilliant finale was judged by Bhakti Kubavat, Aarchit Bhaskar and RJ Arti (the perfect panel).
Apart from the dance/music/acting/singing performances; what the audience really enjoyed was the question-answer round. The contestants were asked humorous questions to test their wittiness and spontaneity. The show hosted and anchored by Priyesh Sagar (NIEM Centre Head) kept the audiences engrossed, courtesy its unique concept and praiseworthy management.
The glittering event was attended by the director of GTPL, Mr.Devang Bhatt, the owner of Jackpot Deals, Mr. Jigar Bhavsar, the Dean of NIEM, Dr. Hoshi Bhiwandiwala and the director of NIEM Dr. Rajiv Zaveri. “Bhai Bhai” fame Arvind Vegda entertained and enthralled the audience like always. The audience grooved and danced to his tunes. Chaitanya Vyas won our hearts with his soulful voice and breathtaking singing. One could feel the audience was in a trance while he performed.
The winners of the show took away enviable gift hampers and cash prizes plus they now have a chance to perform at the national level for the College Idol show in Mumbai. This is surely their big break to kick start their careers into the entertainment industry.
What was inspiring to know is that the grand NIEM College Idol Finale was organized by the students of NIEM Ahmedabad. Imagine the kind of events they are capable of handling already after they pass out from the institute! No wonder NIEM received the EEMAX GLOBAL AWARDS 2015 FOR the Best Event Management Marketing Education Program for NIEM.
